Introduction of New Features at Infosecurity Europe 2025
Infosecurity Europe 2025 will unveil innovative event features and thematic content to address the increasing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on cybersecurity strategies.
AI and Cloud Security Focus
This year’s event will include a designated AI and cloud security theatre, alongside an enhanced focus on generative AI and associated security issues throughout the program. These changes are based on insights from the 2025 Cybersecurity Trends Report, which finds AI-generated attacks to be the leading factor driving cybersecurity investment among surveyed professionals.
Shifts in Risk Perception
The report, which surveyed 231 IT security leaders, reveals a notable shift in risk assessment, with 28% identifying generative AI as the top threat, eclipsing more traditional concerns. The role of AI is pivotal across various industries; 78% of respondents believe AI will require a complete revision of their security strategy, and 71% anticipate enhanced automation within their organizations. Furthermore, 80% report regular discussions about AI at the board level.
Topics Covered in the AI and Cloud Security Theatre
The AI and cloud security theatre will delve into issues like deepfakes, automated phishing, exploitation of large language models, and securing AI and generative AI systems. Discussions will also cover cloud security topics, focusing on misconfigurations, identity management, and API-related threats, all within the evolving AI landscape.
Channel Zone and Practical Insights
A new addition, the Channel Zone, will cater to resellers, integrators, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and other channel partners. It will showcase a keynote program and workshops addressing purchasing trends, the impact of AI-driven changes, and the integration of emerging technologies in the channel ecosystem, fostering insightful business discussions.
Expert Sessions and Decision-Making Support
Attendee highlights include a presentation by CISO Ian Thornton-Trump on the implications of AI adoption for cybersecurity practices. The Infosec Hub will offer a resource for cybersecurity professionals searching for guidance, featuring peer discussion groups and drop-in clinics with analysts from Forrester and Frost & Sullivan, available through specific badge upgrades.
Workshops and High-Level Discussions
Additional roundtables and workshops will feature insights from Forrester analysts on the Top Ten Emerging Technologies for 2025 and their impact on cybersecurity strategies. Additionally, Frost & Sullivan will lead a discussion on human-centric defense approaches in light of AI threats, while representatives from ECSO and NCSC will explore cybersecurity policy landscapes in the EU and UK. The UK Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology will address secure software development, AI risk management, and resilience initiatives.
