GoTo, a leader in cloud communications, has formed a new strategic alliance with cybersecurity firm Acronis, resulting in the introduction of the LogMeIn Data Protection Suite.
This partnership aims to improve and unify endpoint management and security for IT professionals at Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), addressing common challenges in managing intricate IT environments.
The LogMeIn Data Protection Suite, powered by Acronis, enables MSPs and IT professionals to consolidate their endpoint management by integrating LogMeIn Resolve’s Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) capabilities with Acronis’ Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions.
The collaboration also enhances the Practical AI features of LogMeIn, applying them to Acronis’ data solutions for greater efficacy.
Joseph George, general manager of GoTo’s IT Solutions Group, highlighted that many IT teams and MSPs face difficulties in managing endpoint operations, backups, and disaster recovery across disconnected platforms due to the increasing complexity of modern IT environments.
He noted that the lack of integration can result in missed backups, inconsistent policies, and slow disaster recovery efforts. “Our partnership with Acronis addresses these issues through the new LogMeIn Data Protection Suite, offering a cohesive and scalable experience that significantly mitigates risk and accelerates incident response.”
In addition to unified endpoint management, this collaboration provides customizable enrollment options, flexible scheduling, and coverage for cloud services like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 SaaS. MSPs can also benefit from a one-click rapid recovery feature, minimizing downtime in case of cyber incidents, along with multi-tenancy tools for efficient scaling.
Acronis BCDR customers will gain a new integration with LogMeIn Resolve, simplifying backup and recovery workflows while ensuring business continuity as backup agents are enrolled and custom schedules are configured directly from Resolve. This announcement marks the first stage of the strategic partnership, with additional integrations and enhancements anticipated in the coming months.
Fernanda Silva, senior alliances manager at Acronis, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Collaborating closely with the GoTo team has been incredibly fulfilling. We’ve integrated Acronis’ backup, disaster recovery, and endpoint detection capabilities into LogMeIn Resolve, creating a more streamlined experience for MSPs and IT professionals, ultimately addressing the real-world challenges they face.”
