CAISEC’25 in Egypt gathered 5,000 participants and Arab cyber leaders to promote digital sovereignty, AI security, and regional collaboration.

Egypt reaffirmed its position as a cybersecurity leader by successfully hosting the fourth Cyber and Information Security Exhibition and Conference (CAISEC’25) on May 25–26. Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, this two-day event attracted an impressive 5000 participants, 180 expert speakers, nine Egyptian ministers, and heads of six Arab cybersecurity agencies, highlighting its vital role in shaping the region’s digital landscape.

Launched by H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, CAISEC’25 served as a pivotal platform for engaging discussions aimed at securing essential infrastructure, fostering digital sovereignty, and promoting regional cybersecurity collaboration.

“Cybersecurity transcends technical boundaries; it is now a national imperative. Egypt is dedicated to enhancing its systems, nurturing local talent, and spearheading regional partnerships to secure a sustainable digital future.”

— H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology

CAISEC’25 featured extensive engagement from Egyptian government officials and institutional leaders. The attendance of nine ministers underscored the significance of cybersecurity in achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 within crucial sectors. Key attendees included:

  • H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population
  • H.E. Dr. Ayman Ashour – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  • H.E. Dr. Sherif Farouk – Minister of Supply and Internal Trade
  • H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif – Minister of Education
  • H.E. Mr. Mohamed Gebran – Minister of Labor
  • H.E. Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk – Minister of Finance
  • H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat – Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation

  • Mr. Mohamed Farid – Chairman, Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA)
  • Eng. Mohamed Shamroukh – Executive President, National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority
  • Mr. Walid Zakareya – Director General, EG-CERT

Their participation marked a collective commitment to bolster Egypt’s digital infrastructure and ensure comprehensive cybersecurity readiness across various sectors. The conference also welcomed heads from six national cybersecurity agencies in the Arab world, facilitating discussions on regional integration and cyber resilience.

In a strong recognition of innovation, CAISEC’25 awarded the Arab Award for Best Academic Research in Cybersecurity and AI, in collaboration with the League of Arab States, while the AICTO Cybersecurity Shield was awarded to top-performing nations such as Egypt, UAE, and Qatar.

The conference concluded with strategic recommendations focused on combating AI-driven threats, nurturing future cybersecurity leaders, enhancing national policies, and boosting public awareness of digital literacy, ensuring a fortified and resilient cybersecurity framework moving forward.
