Strategic Partnership Overview

Radware and SUSE have joined forces in a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing protection for Kubernetes environments through a modular, open, and cloud-native security stack. This collaboration merges Radware’s Kubernetes Web Application and API Protection (KWAAP) with SUSE’s Rancher Prime and SUSE Security, crafting an enterprise-ready solution tailored to meet the demands for low latency, high availability, and regulatory compliance across core data centers and edge environments.

Target Audience

The integrated offering is specifically designed for service providers, telecom companies, retailers, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and other enterprises that seek to fortify their defenses against increasingly complex web application and API attacks. Notably, Radware’s 2025 Global Threat Analysis Report indicates a 41% rise in attacks targeting web applications and APIs in 2024 compared to the previous year.

Emerging Threats

The surge in threats such as bot-driven attacks, encrypted protocol exploits, and DDoS campaigns is revealing the limitations of traditional perimeter security tools. As a result, organizations are increasingly pursuing comprehensive, cloud-native security solutions that can effectively address these challenges.

Key Benefits of the Solution

By integrating Radware’s AI-powered KWAAP with SUSE’s Kubernetes management and security stack, this solution empowers enterprises to:

  • Minimize risk by securing Kubernetes clusters from ingress to runtime to API.
  • Fulfill compliance obligations related to PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulations.
  • Facilitate the adoption of cloud-native technologies with secure-by-design principles.
  • Seamlessly incorporate into CI/CD pipelines and existing DevSecOps tools.

Centralized Management and Security

SUSE Rancher Prime provides centralized management and consistent policy enforcement across multi-cluster Kubernetes environments. The SUSE Security functionalities enhance runtime and workload protection, while Radware’s KWAAP introduces advanced protective layers, including bot management and DDoS mitigation, all without interrupting development workflows.

Certification and Interoperability

Radware’s KWAAP has received certification for SUSE Rancher Prime and SUSE Edge platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability, performance optimization, and comprehensive support for hybrid and edge-native deployments. This partnership creates a simplified pathway for organizations to secure modern applications and APIs within increasingly dispersed IT infrastructures.

Opportunities for Managed Service Providers

For Managed Service Providers (MSPs), the Radware and SUSE partnership presents new opportunities to deliver a comprehensive, security-focused Kubernetes management service to their clients. With the increasing adoption of Kubernetes across various industries, MSPs can now offer an integrated solution that combines centralized cluster management, container runtime protection, and application/API security—all certified for compatibility. This not only helps MSPs satisfy client demands for secure and compliant cloud-native environments but also distinguishes their services in a competitive landscape.
